Navigator of the Seas has ended her five-year run as Royal Caribbean's year-round ship in Los Angeles. The Voyager-class ship left California on October 2 and sailed a transpacific repositioning through Japan, and she arrives in Singapore on October 29. Her first sailing from the new homeport leaves that same afternoon: a 4-night cruise to Penang, Malaysia and Phuket, Thailand.
The Singapore season was originally planned as a six-month deployment. Royal Caribbean extended it in August to a year-round program running through October 2027, pointing to demand for fly-cruise vacations out of Singapore. Most sailings are short: 2- to 5-night cruises to Penang and Kuala Lumpur (Port Klang) in Malaysia and Phuket in Thailand, the kind of quick getaway that sells well in the region.
Longer options are in the mix too. A 10-night Thailand and Vietnam sailing on January 2, 2027 visits Ho Chi Minh City (Phu My), stays overnight in Bangkok (Laem Chabang), and calls at Langkawi, Malaysia. Navigator also sails select departures from Yokohama, Japan during the Asia deployment.
The extension is part of a wider Asia-Pacific shuffle. Voyager of the Seas will sail from Singapore, Hong Kong, and Tokyo in early 2027, while Ovation and Anthem of the Seas anchor Royal Caribbean's largest Australian summer program to date. Los Angeles keeps Royal Caribbean coverage in the meantime: Ovation of the Seas stays into November 2027 and Voyager of the Seas covers the 2026-27 winter.
What it means for your sailing: if you were booked on one of Navigator's cancelled 2027 Los Angeles sailings, Royal Caribbean has already contacted you with rebooking options or a full refund, so check the email tied to your reservation if you have not decided yet. West Coast cruisers lose their year-round ship but not their options, with Ovation and Voyager covering Los Angeles. And if Singapore is on your list, the season is long: Navigator sails Asia through October 2027 before returning to California in November 2027 for a winter of Mexican Riviera and Baja cruises.
