Royal Caribbean Has a Big Week Ahead: Summer 2028 Caribbean, Black Friday Sale, and Legend's Florida Debut

Three things to watch this week: the first wave of seven-night summer 2028 Caribbean itineraries, the start of the Black Friday sale, and Legend of the Seas arriving in Fort Lauderdale on November 7.

Legend of the Seas docked in Barcelona

Royal Caribbean has a busy week ahead, with three things worth watching: new summer 2028 Caribbean itineraries, the start of its Black Friday sale, and the North American debut of Legend of the Seas.

The deployment news comes first for planners. Royal Caribbean will reveal its seven-night Caribbean itineraries for May through September 2028 sometime during the week of November 2, covering Eastern, Western, and Southern Caribbean sailings, with most cruises also stopping at Perfect Day at CocoCay. This is only the first wave, for voyages of seven nights or longer; shorter Caribbean sailings and the Caribbean winter seven-night-plus sailings are not due until 2027.

The Black Friday sale is also slated to start this week. Royal Caribbean has not revealed the 2026 deals yet, but past promotions have bundled savings on cruise fares and Cruise Planner add-ons such as drink packages, Wi-Fi, shore excursions, and specialty dining. In 2025 the line offered an All-In Package bundling the Deluxe Beverage Package, Unlimited Dining Package, and VOOM Surf and Stream, and in 2024 the sale ran November 8 to 29 with up to 50 percent off beverage packages and shore excursions.

Finally, Legend of the Seas arrives in Fort Lauderdale on November 7 after a 13-night transatlantic cruise from Barcelona, following her inaugural season in Europe. After a short three-night getaway to CocoCay, she will sail alternating six- and eight-night voyages to the Western and Southern Caribbean through April 2028.

What it means for your sailing: if you have your eye on a summer 2028 Caribbean cruise, watch for the seven-night itineraries this week, since a new deployment is the best time to lock in a specific ship, itinerary, or cabin category; if you are shopping for add-ons, wait for the Black Friday sale details before buying drink packages, Wi-Fi, excursions, or specialty dining; and if you are eyeing Legend's first Florida season, her Caribbean cruises run through April 2028.
