Royal Caribbean has cancelled every remaining visit to Labadee, its private beach destination in Haiti, through April 2028. Travel agents were notified on Friday, October 30, 2026, and the change updates 44 itineraries across nine ships: Adventure, Allure, Explorer, Freedom, Harmony, Independence, Serenade, Star and Symphony of the Seas.

The affected sailings run from July 2027 through April 2028. Independence of the Seas swaps start July 8, 2027 with a stop in Puerto Plata, followed by Grand Turk, Ocho Rios and George Town on later sailings. Freedom of the Seas trades Labadee for Grand Turk on December 16, 2027 and March 13, 2028, Harmony of the Seas calls at Nassau on February 19, 2028, and Symphony of the Seas calls at Nassau on January 23, 2028. Serenade of the Seas heads to Puerto Plata on October 22, 2027, while Star of the Seas replaces Labadee and Falmouth with Costa Maya and Cozumel on December 19, 2027 and visits Costa Maya on January 30, 2028. Other replacement ports across the nine ships include San Juan, Samana, Amber Cove, Grand Bahama Island and Ponce, with some sailings taking a sea day instead.

Labadee has been closed to Royal Caribbean ships since April 2025 amid ongoing violence in Haiti, and this announcement extends the cancellation the line announced in July 2026, which ran through July 2027. Royal Caribbean has operated the private destination since 1988. President and CEO Michael Bayley recently said there is still no clear return date, and the line expects no regular visits for at least another year and a half while continuing to support its employees in Labadee.

Guests with prepaid shore excursions in Labadee booked through Royal Caribbean will have them refunded automatically. No action is needed to receive the refund.

What it means for your sailing: if you are booked on Adventure, Allure, Explorer, Freedom, Harmony, Independence, Serenade, Star or Symphony of the Seas on a sailing between July 2027 and April 2028 that listed Labadee, your itinerary has changed to a replacement port or a sea day, so check your updated itinerary in the app or your booking confirmation. Any Labadee excursion you prepaid through Royal Caribbean will be refunded automatically, and there is nothing you need to do.
